FOR COUPLES WHO KEEP HAVING THE SAME FIGHT

You can't think your way out of a fight while your body is still in it

The After-Fight Repair Kit is a 20-minute guided process to calm your body, see the pattern underneath, and choose your next move. Keep it for the next time a fight with your partner leaves you flooded.

You know how it goes.

It starts small. A tone of voice. A forgotten errand. A text that lands wrong.

Ten minutes later, you're saying things you didn't mean. Or saying nothing at all.

Then comes the aftermath.

You're on the couch scrolling, but you're not reading anything. Your chest is tight. Your jaw is clenched. You're replaying every word, rehearsing what you should have said, drafting the long text you know you shouldn't send.

Or maybe you go cold. Numb. Somewhere far away.

And underneath all of it, you’re thinking:

We've had this fight before.

Different topic. Same fight. The dishes, the money, the calendar, the in-laws. It's always about something, but it's never really about that thing.

Maybe you've read the books. Maybe you've done years of therapy. You can explain your pattern in detail.

And you're still stuck in it.

Why? Because most everything you've been taught about conflict skips the most important step.

What most relationship advice misses.

Most advice about fighting assumes you're calm.

"Use I-statements." "Listen to understand." "Talk it through."

Good advice. But after a real fight, your body isn't calm. Your heart is racing. Your nervous system is braced for threat. The part of your brain that listens, reflects, and chooses its words carefully has gone offline.

That's why talking it through right away so often turns one fight into two—or three, or four.

That’s because this isn’t just a communication problem. It's a nervous system problem first, and a pattern problem second.

Which means the way through isn't “more insight”.

It starts in the body.

Introducing The After-Fight Repair Kit

A short, guided process you can use right after a fight, or work through now so you're ready for the next one.

It walks you through four steps, in order:

  • #1. Meet yourself where you are

Stop the replay. Notice what's actually happening in your body, and name the state you're in: angry, hurt, shut down, or anxious.

  • #2. Regulate and create space

Use a short practice matched to your state. Anger needs to move. Hurt needs gentleness. Shutdown needs to come back online. You'll learn which is which, and you'll know when you've settled enough to think clearly again.

  • #3. Look underneath

Now you can see the pattern, not just the fight. You'll map the cycle you and your partner keep getting caught in, and find what you were really asking for.

  • #4. Choose your next step
Leave with one clear, kind action instead of another round of the same fight. Whether that's asking for a pause, reaching out to repair, or making one clean request.

Each step follows the same simple rhythm: a short teaching, a body-based practice, and a reflection prompt.

If you're more of a feeler, the practices will land. If you're more of a thinker, the prompts will. Most people need both.

Who this is for...

This kit is for you if...

  • You and your partner keep having the same fight in different costumes

  • You go straight to replaying, rehearsing, or numbing out after an argument

  • You want to come back to your partner with honesty, not ammunition

  • You've done therapy or read the books, and understanding the pattern hasn't been enough to change it

  • You're all in on your relationship, or you're quietly wondering whether to stay. Either way, you need to be calm to see clearly.

This kit is NOT for you if...

  • You're looking for a way to prove your partner wrong

  • You feel unsafe with your partner. If there are violence, threats, or you're afraid, this isn't the right tool. Please reach out to the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233 or thehotline.org.

Meet Robyn

I'm Robyn Lynn, a relationship coach based in Asheville, NC. For more than 20 years, I've worked with individuals and couples at the edge of intimacy, truth, and connection.

I've sat with couples in the middle of betrayal. Couples who stopped touching years ago. Couples who love each other and can't stop hurting each other.

The same thing shows up in almost every one of them. When a fight hits, people try to think their way out while their body is still in it. It doesn't work. Not because they aren't smart or committed, but because a flooded nervous system can't do that job.

So with every client, I start in the same place: the body. We settle first. Then we look at what's really happening.

That's what this kit gives you. It's the first step of the work I do with every client, made simple enough to use on your own, on a hard night, without needing to book a session first.

My training includes Gottman Method couples work training (Levels 1 and 2), Somatic Attachment Therapy, and certification as a Sexological Bodyworker and Somatic Sexologist.

Robyn has a special magic all her own. She is able to shift things inside me that no one else can even touch, let alone change. With her years of experience and huge heart full of love, I cannot recommend Robyn highly enough.

Robyn saved my life by simply embodying these practices... there was something about her presence and how she skillfully (gently) navigated the relational waters between us that facilitated my descent into my body in a way I didn't know I needed.

I'm connecting with parts of myself that I didn't know existed, parts that I had silenced or ignored somewhere along the way. I'm feeling more alive as I reclaim these parts. It feels like a sort of coming home.

Questions (and Answers)

When should I use this?

Right after a fight, as soon as you have 20 quiet minutes. Or now, before the next one. Going through it once while you're calm makes it much easier to reach for when you're not.

Does my partner need to do it with me?

No. The kit is designed for one person. You can only regulate your own nervous system, and when one person settles, the whole dynamic shifts. If your partner wants to use it too, they're welcome to.

Is this couples therapy?

No. It's a practical, body-based tool for everyday conflict. It isn't a replacement for focused coaching, and it isn't meant for relationships where anyone feels unsafe.

We're already in therapy. Will this help?

It often helps most for people in that exact spot. Therapy helps you understand the pattern. This kit gives you something to do in the moment the pattern takes over.

How long does it take?

About 20 minutes to move through the four steps after a fight. The full set of videos is about 45 minutes if you want to watch everything the first time.

How do I get access?

Right after checkout, you'll get an email with your login. Everything is online, so you can use it on your phone, tablet, or computer.

The next fight is coming.

That's not pessimism. Every couple fights, including the ones who last.

The difference is what happens after.

You can keep doing what you've been doing: replay it, scroll past it, and wait for the same fight to come back in a new costume.

Or you can have a way back to yourself ready before you need it.

For $17, with a 30-day guarantee, the kit is yours today.
